Directions to the Festival
1. You can boat or take a ferry to Block Island. (Ferrys leave from New London, Point Judith, and Newport).
See the Point Judith Ferry Schedule.
See the Newport Ferry Schedule.
See the New London Ferry Schedule (you will need reservations on this ferry).
See information on flights from Westerly which are a little more expensive.
2. Upon arrival, simply jump in a taxi and ask to be driven to the "The Mohegan Bluffs" which will cost you about $5 per person.
3. Once at the top of the bluffs, you need to walk down a staircase and then head right and walk a half mile down the beach a remote area of the festival.

The Mohegan Bluffs are remote. Not only is Block Island twelve miles from mainland Rhode Island, you have to travel four miles from New Harbor along a hilly and winding road. Then, if that wasn't enough, you have to climb down the 200-foot face of Mohegan Bluffs using almost 250 stairs to get to the base of the cliff. The last part is a little treacherous, that you risk of slipping on the lose rock and boulders of the washouted base area, so make sure that you are wearing shoes or flip flops. Once on the beach, kick off you shoes and walk right to reach Aspen Beach.
Lodging Ideas
1. Call the Block Island Chamber of Commerce at 800-383-BIRI or 401-466-2474.
2. See listing of accomodations at BlockIslandChamber.com
As a guest, you may be asked to help bring something (like a bag of ice down) to the party or help carry something else back up from the party. There is a tremendous amount of work that is done by about a dozen people before the day of the party, so your help is greatly appreciated by everyone. We keep the area in a better condition than when we arrived, so please be conscious of cleaning up after each other.
